3.) The Bills’ pass rush showed up and showed out

The pass rush up front for Buffalo was all up in Tua’s face throughout the game. The defense managed to bring down Tia four times (two of them by Greg Rousseau) and Tua was hit 9 times, which is more than how many times he was hit coming into this game.

Sure, the defense gave up the occasional pass play in the middle of the field, but Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle only had 7 catches for 108 yards total. The reason why they were limited is because the Bills’ front four caused the pressure.

The Bills now have 16 sacks through four weeks and will have the opportunity to potentially welcome back Von Miller, as he looks to come back from his torn ACL injury from last season.

2.) The Bills’ run defense needs to improve moving forward

While the passing defense for Buffalo took away the Dolphins’ pass attack, rookie running back De’Von Achane impressed for a second consecutive week. He would run for 101 yards off of 8 carries for two touchdowns.

The last two weeks, the Bills’ run defense was stellar but they got ran over a little bit this game which they will have to improve on moving forward. They gave up 142 rushing yards which is not the worst, but now that the Bills’ secondary may need assistance with the injury status of Tre’Davious White, the big guys upfront will have to improve their run-stopping game.
