The final game of the 2023 season is set to be played Sunday night as the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are set to play in Super Bowl LVIII. The Buffalo Bills once again came up short on their goal of reaching the big game and the organization will be forced to watch.

However, the front office should be busy already constructing their offseason plan and identifying some players they want to target to build out a roster capable of reaching the Super Bowl. On Sunday night, while watching the Chiefs and 49ers, these are five players they could be watching closer as they are set to be free agents this offseason and might be of interest to the Bills.

Sam Darnold (QB)

Let's start with the one player the 49ers hopefully won't have on the field at any point but the Bills might want to sign this offseason. The Bills signed Kyle Allen this past offseason to be the backup to Josh Allen but it was only a one-year deal and the team could be looking for a new backup.

That quarterback could be Sam Darnold, who was drafted the same year as Josh Allen by the New York Jets. The two quarterbacks are close and he would be a great fit in the quarterback room to support the Bills' franchise quarterback.
