Trade for Devin White

Without question, the headline grabbing move the Buffalo Bills could make is to trade for Bucs' linebacker Devin White. The former first round pick is looking for a new contract and requested a trade this offseason.

He ultimately didn't get either and while he is in training camp and did backtrack a bit on his trade request, White's desire to be playing somewhere else in 2023 probably hasn't shifted much. He has been a starting linebacker pretty much his entire career and has 62 starts over the past four years with 100+ total tackles each of the past three seasons.

Among the five options, this is by far the least likely to happen for a multiude of reasons. The first is that the Bucs don't seem to have any desire to trade their former first round pick. If the Bills can even get the Bucs to consider such a move, it probably will result in the biggest compensation in a trade package and the team might not want to sacrifice future draft picks.

On top of that, Devin White wants a new contract and the Buffalo Bills are going to be up against the salary cap the next few years. They weren't willing to offer a big contract to Tremaine Edmunds so it doesn't make sense for them to offer something similar to White.
