Bills rookies on the defensive side have to step up
With Matt Milano and Christian Benford out of this game, the Bills have two rookies who have an opportunity to put their stamp on this game. Dorian Willaims has stepped into the huge shoes of Matt Milano and performed admirably, considering it's his first NFL action in a real game. He recorded a few pass breakups but also missed a couple of tackles, but I have a lot more faith in Williams in this position than I ever did with A.J. Klein. That said, Williams was later replaced by Tyrel Dodson, and it is unknown if that was due to a possible injury or performance but he was in and out of the lineup.
We knew Kaiir Elam would be playing as soon as the team announced that Christian Benford was out, which means both the Bills starting corners were going to play a role in this game. Elam made a nice play late in the first half, preventing a potential touchdown, with solid coverage in the end zone and this was followed up by the huge strip sack from A.J. Epenesa.
