Kamren Curl
Update: Kamren Curl reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Entering free agency, Kamren Curl was one of the best free agent safeties available after being primarily a starter for four years with the Washington Commanders. He was a seventh round pick by the Commanders in 2020 but would start 11 games as a rookie and start at least 12 games every season since.
This past season was by far his best as he had 115 total tackles and five passes defended with one fumble recovery. However, the Commanders seem prepared to move on after signing Jeremy Chinn to a one-year deal.
Among the safeties still available, Curl would command the biggest contract but his asking price could be lowering the longer he stays a free agent. He is also only 25 years old and being one of the youngest safeties on this list, it would be logical to offer a four-year deal to try and spread out some of that cap hit to make a contract work.
It is rare to find a player with this much experience at his age and Curl could be a key part of the secondary for a long-time.
