Baylon Spector
Baylon Spector was a seventh-round pick by the Bills in the 2022 NFL Draft and has appeared in 15 games over the past two years. During that stretch, he has primarily been a special teams contributor and could see that role expand even more with Tyler Matakevich no longer with Buffalo.
Matakevich was one of the best special teams players during that time and was the leader of that group. Spector's experience should give him a great chance to play more snaps there but the linebacker position is very crowded this offseason.
There is no question who the starters are for the Bills with Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard but after that there are seven players competing for two or three spots. This group includes veterans like Nicholas Morrow and Deion Jones, former draft picks like Dorian Williams and Edefuan Ulofoshio, and then some undrafted free agent signings like Joe Andressen and Shayne Simon.
It will be important for Spector to not get lost in the shuffle at the position and if he can show the coaches he can contribute more on defense and not just be a special teams player, that will certainly help his chances.
