James Cook

One of the things that stands out looking at Joe Brady's time as offensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers was how heavily running backs were targeted. It makes sense as Christian McCaffrey was in Carolina but he played only 10 games during Brady's time.

However, in Brady's only full season as offensive coordinator, Mike Davis (who had 66 receptions in five seasons) had 59 in 15 games that season.

The Buffalo Bills have an excellent receiver out of the backfield in James Cook but he has not been involved much in the passing game as of late. In the first two games, Cook had 10 targets but in the last four games has had only 10 targets.

It makes sense for the Buffalo Bills to call high percentage throws early in the game for Josh Allen and if they do, James Cook out of the backfield would be an easy way to extend drives and keep the offense on track.
