5.) Justin Shorter - Wide Receiver

The Bills drafted the 6’4 and 223 pound rookie wide receiver out of the University of Florida. As a fifth round draft pick, Shorter has the size to potentially get on the field and win the contested catches. As a development player, Shorter could potentially become a role player in the Bills receiving room.

Gabe Davis is going into a contract year and there is no guarantee that he will receive an extension, and Trent Sherfield signed only a one-year deal with the Bills for this season. While Shorter may not be catching passes from Josh Allen, he will be able to display his talent with quarterbacks like Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley.

As a rookie receiver, Shorter has time to develop but with his frame, the Bills may have found not just an extra depth player but even a potential starter in the future. Shorter could get some playing time against the Colts.
