As a fourth round draft pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis has been able to earn his spot on the field with Josh Allen and the Bills offense. Davis started out his career as a security blanket for Allen to help move the chains and found himself starting in 11 of 16 games his rookie season.

He ended the 2020 season with 35 catches for 599 yards and seven touchdowns. In three total seasons so far, Davis has been able to manage 118 catches for 1,984 yards and 20 touchdowns. In addition, Davis had his longest catch of 98 yards that resulted in a touchdown versus the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022.

Since Davis does not have a fifth-year option as part of his contract, this upcoming season will be his contract year with the Bills. Whether or not the Bills give him a second contract or if Davis receives an offer from another team, he will have to prove that he can be a great weapon for any team moving forward.

The 2023 season should be an exciting one for Davis, and even for the Bills if they can get the most out of Davis, assuming the Bills do not consider a trade during the season.

Here are three ways as to how Davis can set himself up for a new contract this season.
