Matt Milano

There is a case to be made that with the departures of Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, and Tre'Davious White that Matt Milano is the most important player on the defense for the Buffalo Bills. It is a case that probably could have been made even last year when those players were still on the team.

When healthy, Matt Milano is one of the best linebackers in the NFL and was selected as a first-team All-Pro in 2022. This past season, he picked up right where he left off with 30 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble in only five games.

However, he suffered that season-ending leg injury in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars but looks like he should be ready for the 2024 season. He was able to participate in some of the practice during minicamp and that is a good sign for him heading into training camp next month.

The return of Milano not only helps the defense overall but gives Terrel Bernard a veteran next to him that can take the linebacker position to that next level.
