The Buffalo Bills not only will be looking for their fifth straight AFC East title but also their sixth straight trip to the playoffs. In fact, there has been only one season in Josh Allen's career that he has not made the playoffs, which was his rookie season.

There is no question that Josh Allen is the most important player to the Bills' success and hopefully a trip to the playoffs. However, he can't do it alone and will need other players around him to step up this season to help the team keep their playoffs streak alive.

When looking at this roster, these are five players who are critical to the team's success and need big seasons.

Connor McGovern

Connor McGovern was a starter last year for the Bills at left guard but is now moving over to play center. He is expected to be the replacement for Mitch Morse, who was released this offseason to create needed cap space.

While McGovern has played center in high school and college, he has only played guard in the NFL between his time with the Cowboys and Bills. Last year, the Bills offensive line was one of the best Josh Allen has had in the NFL and there is pressure on McGovern to play up to the same level that Morse had over the past few seasons.

If Josh Allen doesn't have time in the pocket or the protection he had last season, it is going to be tough for him in 2024.
