5 biggest concerns for the Buffalo Bills entering the 2023 regular season
Regardless of who CB2 is, will they be a liability on the defense?
I've seen some fans on social media claim the Bills cornerback room is not very good. Even so far as to say that if Tre'Vadious White doesn't return to form, then the Bills have one of the worst CB rooms in the league. I don't buy into this belief but CB2 is still a concern.
My money is on Christian Benford to win the job but again, McDermott has not yet made a final decision, at least not that we are aware of. I get that Kaiir Elam has those first-round traits but at the end of the day, is he putting those traits to use? He's a good press cover guy, very aggressive and physical but that physicality has led to penalties far too many times.
Dane Jackson is the safe decision but Benford offers far more upside and brings very good size to the position too. As far as White is concerned, he has looked like himself throughout the camps and preseason, so I'm not too worried about him. Benford starting the third and final preseason game, but we may have to wait until Monday night to know if he has earned that job going forward.
