Stefon Diggs might be traded

Another storyline that would come from the Buffalo Bills' playoff loss to the Bengals was the frustration of their star wide receiver. It was evident that Stefon Diggs was not happy and was seen yelling at Josh Allen on the sidelines.

That storyline would fester over the course of the offseason and come to a head at mandatory OTAs when Diggs would not be present for the first practice. However, the situation appears to be resolved for the time being as he was present for the second practice and there is no indication that he is planning on missing training camp.

This always seemed to be the only resolution even though trade ideas began popping up this offseason. The idea that the Bills might trade Diggs before the 2023 season was never an option as the dead cap in such a move would be close to $45 million between this season and next.

For a team that is hoping to reach a Super Bowl, the idea of trading one of their best players while taking on that much dead cap would end any chance of that happening this year or next. That was not going to be an option and hopefully, there are no more ridiculous ideas of trading Stefon Diggs.
