Malik Willis

The Tennessee Titans have some serious questions at quarterback and how they approach the position this season. As Jim Wyatt with the team website recently wrote, Ryan Tannehill and Will Levis are guaranteed roster spots as Tannehill is still the starter and Levis was just the Titans' second round pick.

This could mean that Malik Willis, who was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, could be cut prior to the start of the season. Willis is an interesting quarterback prospect that if he were released the Buffalo Bills should be very interested in.

Leading up to the 2022 NFL Draft, Malik Willis was drawing comparisons to Josh Allen not only because of his physical attributes but because any team that drafted him would need to be patient as he developed.

The Bills offense centers around Allen but it is almost impossible to find quarterbacks who can do what Josh Allen does. By adding Malik Willis, it would give the team a quarterback they could develop that if he needed to replace Allen, the coaching staff could keep the offensive playbook close to the same.

I find it hard to imagine that the Titans would just cut Malik Willis and instead would try to trade him. However, if he is released, the Buffalo Bills should make a quick push to sign him.
