Kaiir Elam

This was expected to finally be the season for Kaiir Elam to really distinguish himself in this defense and live up to the draft capital of being a first round pick. The Buffalo Bills selected Elam in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft and started six games as a rookie.

Entering 2023, he was in a competition with Christian Benford and Dane Jackson opposite Tre'Davious White. He would be passed by both of those players and spent most of the season as a healthy scratch and unable to move up much on the depth chart.

He would play in three games during the regular season but gave up 10 receptions on 14 targets and quarterbacks had a QB rating of 101.8 when throwing his direction. It wasn't all bad from Elam as he did make an incredible interception against the Steelers in the Wild Card Round but the fact that he was basically a non-factor for most of the season wasn't great to see.
