Von Miller
It is odd to think that a former Defensive Rookie of the Year, eight-time Pro Bowler has something to prove but that is the situation Von Miller seems to find himself in. The Bills signed him to a massive contract prior to the 2022 season and Miller got off to a great start with eight sacks in 11 games before suffering a torn ACL.
He would return during last season but didn't look anywhere near the same player and had only three total tackles and no sacks in 12 games. This offseason, Miller agreed to a new contract to help the Bills with their salary cap but also was a sign he is confident this upcoming season he will return to that All-Pro form. He agreed to less guaranteed dollars but with incentives could end up making more in 2024.
It could end up working out in his favor as he is looking good through OTAs, including during Tuesday's practice. According to Matt Parrino, Miller showed a lot of the quickness and speed that has been missing since his injury.
"Miller had two sacks on the day, making life difficult for veteran tackle La’el Collins. He flew off the edge and blew by Collins on his way to landing for a sack on quarterback Josh Allen."
If Miller can play like he did prior to his injury, the pass rush and the defense as a whole will get a big boost this season.
