Christian Benford

Christian Benford finds himself in a similiar position to A.J. Epenesa as there have been plenty of storylines at his position this offseason. However, by the end of the season he could be looked at as the team's number one cornerback.

This offseason, the Bills released former first-round pick Tre'Davious White and then also lost Dane Jackson in free agency. On top of that, Rasul Douglas was absent for the entire OTA portion of the offseason and the questions still remained about whether Kaiir Elam can finally live up to that first-round draft status.

However, the key to the position is former sixth-round pick Christian Benford as he enters his third season with the Bills but his second as a starting cornerback. He would win the job coming out of training camp last year and started 14 games with two interceptions and 10 passes defended.

Another year in this defense, especially after gaining experience as the full-time starter, should really help Benford continue to grow in this role and emerge as that cornerstone at the position.
