After his bounce back performance in Week 2, Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
He currently leads the league with a 77% completion rate and is looking to keep the momentum going into Washington to take on a Commanders team that is 2-0 for the first time since 2011. Allen is going up against a defense that is better than the Raiders, but not as talented as the Jets’ defense. So he will get a matchup of a defense that is in between the two previous opponents.
At this point, it seems like there is a theme that could answer as to how Allen will perform in each game. Last week, he remained calm and looked like himself overall. It also helps that the Buffalo defense was doing their job with two takeaways and held the Raiders to just ten points.
That won’t always be the case in each game. Even if the defense struggles to make any stops, Allen has to make sure that the offense stays calm and picks up the smart plays rather than trying to do too much.
