3 reasons to be excited for Buffalo Bills rushing attack moving forward

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 38-10 to bounce back from their Week 1 loss and they delivered a beatdown while doing so. After the Raiders scored their first touchdown early in the first quarter, the Bills played as if that was personal and never took their eyes off the prize of picking up their first win of the season.
While it was the Josh Allen show for a majority of the game, it was the Bills rushing attack that really helped the flow of the offense. After only 22 total carries last week, Ken Dorsey was able to bump up that count to 35 rushing attempts against the Raiders.
Since 2019, the Bills have had a tough time establishing a run game that did not include Josh Allen’s legs. When they drafted James Cook in the second round last year, the Bills were hoping to gain a back who could not only get the ground game going but also be a pass-catching back for Allen.
When Devin Singletary signed with the Houston Texans this past offseason, the signs pointed to Cook to be the main guy. In addition, Brandon Beane managed to sign Damien Harris from the New England Patriots, and Latavius Murray who has been a journeyman for the majority of his career.
These three backs managed to create a run game that has not been shown in Buffalo for quite sometime and if this is a sample for what is to come moving forward, Bills fans should get heavily excited.
