Buffalo Bills draft defensive end Laiatu Latu in first round

During Brandon Beane's time as general manager with the Buffalo Bills, they have invested a lot of draft capital along their defensive line with players like Ed Oliver (first round pick), Greg Rousseau (first round pick), Boogie Basham (second round pick), and A.J. Epenesa (second round pick). This year though they may have to go back to that part of their roster and could end up with a difference maker in Laiatu Latu out of UCLA.

This offseason, the Bills could lose A.J. Epenesa, Leonard Floyd, and Shaq Lawson in free agency and Von Miller is a big question mark after a down season. Even if Miller does bounce back, the Bills may want to get younger and a player like Latu could be a great fit.

After transferring from Washington UCLA, Latu became a difference maker for the Bruins with 23.5 sacks in two seasons and 24 tackles for a loss. He also had two interceptions this past season. If the Bills want to get past the Chiefs they are going to have to find a way to get pressure on Patrick Mahomes and a duo of Rousseau and Latu would be a great step in that direction.
