1.) Protect the football

We all know one of Allen’s downsides to his game this season which is turning over the ball. He is ranked second in interceptions with 15 (just behind Sam Howell who has been benched). Allen also has fumbled 4 times this season.

New England has five games this season where they have forced 2 turnovers, and have 5 takeaways in their last three games. In his career against New England, Allen has 12 total turnovers (8 interceptions and 4 fumbles).

Allen can avoid turning the ball over by protecting it against his chest, or even as simple as throwing it away if there are no open receivers. There is no need to play hero ball and throw into double coverage to make a good play. Most of the time, when Allen tries to make a big play through the air, it backfires on him and the offense. Play smart football and don’t let mistakes be the reason why this game goes down to the wire.
