2.) Utilize the short passing game
It is not very often where the Patriots’ defense gives up big plays through the air. One of the keys to success for the Bills’ offense is to control the clock and not give any sign of hope for the Patriots’ offense.
In order to do this, Allen’s first read should be the first open guy he sees that is not down the sideline (of course unless there is a wide open receiver). This would be a perfect opportunity for receiving options like both Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid, as well as Khalil Shakir who has been more in the slot role the last few weeks.
The Patriots’ play great situational football so if it is third down, the Bills will need to keep the play calling simple and not try to get fancy with the ball. Do enough to just pick up the first, control the tempo of the game and keep the Patriots’ defense guessing.
