2 Buffalo Bills who could be trade candidates before 2024 season

While this may come as a surprise, this shouldn’t be that crazy of an idea. The Bills have added a plethora of linebackers to a room that was already crammed with talent. With returning linebackers Terrel Bernard and Baylon Spector being roster locks, and Matt Milano most likely returning sometime early in the season, that’s most of the room already filled out.

That leaves Morrow, rookie Edefuan Olofoshio, Dorian Williams, and Deion Jones battling for the remaining roster spots. Out of that group, likely Olofoshio and Williams make the team with Jones and Morrow finding a new home. 

The Bills added Morrow in March as Matt Milano insurance. In case he couldn’t return until later in the season, Morrow would likely start. Now that he’s been practicing this summer, and adding another rookie to the room, there isn’t a place for Morrow on this roster. 

What Morrow could garner in a trade is unclear. However, the Bills could be willing to part with him for a late-round pick, much as they did with Boogie Basham last season. Trading Morrow would save the team $1.2M in cap space, according to Spotrac. The Bills may value the money saved over the player himself, as they could use that money toward a position they’re thin at. If that’s the case, we may not see a Nicholas Morrow trade happen until we get closer to cutdown day in August.
