It could be a matter of time before the Buffalo Bills may have to deal with some changes, specifically on the coaching side. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady has been listed as a potential head coaching candidate going back to last season. He was highly considered for the New Orleans Saints job, but then he withdrew to stay in Buffalo for one more season.

With all of the current head coach openings, Brady could have a chance at landing one but he is still in the playoffs and teams with open vacancies can fill the slot whenever they want. At the same time, teams will take their time in carrying the hiring process so there is still a chance for Brady.

It does help that Brady has a quarterback like Josh Allen that has helped gain interest, but Brady has also brought back a rushing attack in Buffalo that now features the league’s leading rusher in James Cook. If a team is looking for a bright offensive-minded coach to lead their team, Brady should definitely be on their radar.

Some people might say that he still needs more experience, or is only having success because of Josh Allen. Well, for any doubters about Joe Brady, just remember that he implemented an offense that was about "everybody eating" and spreading the ball around. He cleaned up the mess that Ken Dorsey created and him potentially leaving with hurt the Bills.

Alex Kay from Bleacher Report put together a list of “ideal fits” for the current head coaching jobs after the latest firings which includes the Ravens letting go of John Harbaugh. In Kay’s final pairing, it was the Tennessee Titans pairing with Brady.

"Brady's partnership with Josh Allen has resulted in the star quarterback taking an MVP leap last year and posting a league-best 36-15 record since the start of the 2023 campaign. It's an especially impressive feat given the lack of talent in Buffalo's receiving corps, a group that has lacked a 1,000-yard pass-catcher since Stefon Diggs' departure two years ago."

People want to focus on the offense and their struggles this season, which is completely understandable. However, Brady is not the one that didn’t bring in more talent to help out the passing attack. He did however help the Bills become the best rushing offense in the league.

Brady stepped in and saved Buffalo’s offense in the middle of the 2023 season. He has exceeded expectations and should become a head coach as early as this upcoming cycle.

If Brady were to go to Tennessee, it would put him in a spot where he would have the chance to be part of a building process that allows him to put a team together that is his, and can prove doubters wrong. Cam Ward looks like a franchise quarterback, but he still needs help around him.

However, Brady has done a great job at spreading the ball around which would take pressure off of Ward. Going to a team with low expectations might exactly be what Brady needs to overcome any doubts that people have of him as a playcaller and as a coach.
