Believe it or not, this offseason is flying by fast and before you know it, Week 1 will be here. The Buffalo Bills have been one of the best teams to attack the offseason through both free agency and the draft, and soon they will be learning who their Week 1 opponent will be. This upcoming season means a little bit more for Bills fans.

The era of the current Highmark Stadium is coming to an end and the debut of their new stadium (which will be right across the road from the old one) will be expected to be for the 2026 season. The 2025 season has to be a special one for the Bills and Bills Mafia.

With that, there is one player that needs to step up and Pro Football Focus is spot on about how the breakout player will be in 2025 for the Bills.

Dalton Kincaid needs to have a breakout season for Bills

I recently put together a list as to why Dalton Kincaid is approaching a make-or-break season in 2025 and one of those factors is that he is entering a season that will determine of the Bills pick up his fifth-year option in 2026. The Bills traded up for Kincaid in 2023 with hopes that he could open up the field for the passing attack. He hasn’t been a bust for Buffalo, but her certainly has not been worth trading up for either.

A knee injury last season took him out for three games and caused his production to decline from the season prior. However, even without that injury, I’m not so sure he wouldn’t been able to improve from his rookie year. He hasn’t become the type of player that defenses have to gameplan for and he is arguably the second best tight end for the Bills.

With the way the Bills offense operates, it might be tough for Kincaid to become an All-Pro like player in 2025. However, if he wants any sort of long-term future in Buffalo, then 2025 is the year to make it happen.
