This might be the first offseason in a long time where we don’t have one single game confirmed that the Buffalo Bills will be involved in. In recent years, before the official NFL schedule is released, Bills fans have been spoiled with early confirmed Bills games of who and when they will be playing. Now, we don’t have a single confirmation yet and that just adds to the excitement for tomorrow’s schedule releasing at 8PM EST. However, we might have just learned about the Bills’ first game on their 2025 schedule.
According to Thomas DeLaus, per Bills beat reporter Sal Capaccio, DeLaus said that Capaccio was on WGR550 radio station and even though nothing has been confirmed, Carpaccio “is hearing rumblings” that the Bills will open up the 2025 season at home on Sunday Night Football and will host the Cincinnati Bengals.
Now, let's be clear, here: this is a scheduling rumor and has not been confirmed. If this does indeed come true, this would been an incredible matchup for the Bills to start the season and a great way for Josh Allen to defend his MVP crown. However, this could turn out to be wrong as well. We will definitely know by tomorrow, though.
Schedule news...@SalSports just stated on @WGR550 that he is hearing rumblings though he cannot confirm....

The @BuffaloBills home opener (Week 1) will be on Sunday Night Football against the @Bengals.#BillsMafia
Bills vs Bengals would be the dream matchup to kickoff on SNF
Josh Allen vs. Joe Burrow on Sunday Night Football, can it get any better? You have two star quarterbacks who can dominate a game at anytime that they want. Burrow has had the best of Allen throughout their matchups, and is actually undefeated against Allen and the Bills.
At the same time, Allen is the more dominant quarterback with a better roster around him. The Bills should be very lucky to have home-field advantage against the Bengals, who are at a serious risk of not having the services of star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson, who is in the middle of contract drama with the Bengals organization.
If Hendrickson is not on the field for the Bengals by the time they face the Bills, then Josh Allen can really make a statement against the Bengals and towards the NFL.
Again, this is just a rumor and is not confirmed. However, this would be a dream start for Josh Allen and the Bills to kickoff their 2025 season.
