The Buffalo Bills are currently in a state of sadness after being eliminated in the Divisional round and firing Sean McDermott, but trouble doesn't always last. Buffalo is still a good team, and the franchise is expected to find a good coach who will help that remain the case. Beyond the coaching search, experts are predicting an explosive offseason for the Bills.

It’s no secret Buffalo needs to be better in certain areas, and one of those areas is at wide receiver. Some media members believe there’s a clear path for the Bills to upgrade their wide receiver room: trading with the Philadelphia Eagles for AJ Brown. ESPN’s Ben Solak recently predicted that would happen, and reporter Jeremy Fowler made the same prediction in a different ESPN piece.

AJ Brown has already emerged as a popular trade candidate for the Bills

Fowler highlighted how Brown doesn’t seem to be happy in Philadelphia, and the Eagles’ willingness to make big moves could lead to them trading him, even though he’s still a really good receiver. The reporter then pointed out how Buffalo, amongst other teams, makes a ton of sense since they desperately need a No. 1 receiver. Solak echoed similar sentiments and even predicted the Bills would send a package that includes a first-round pick to Philly for the wide receiver.

That would be a massive move, and it would certainly transform Buffalo’s offense. Brown is a three-time Pro Bowler and is a true No. 1 wideout. Even in a contentious, down year with Philadelphia this season, the receiver still posted 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games. Adding a talent like Brown to Buffalo’s offense would give Josh Allen the kind of receiver he hasn’t had since Stefon Diggs.

The question, like with any trade, would be how much Buffalo is willing to give up. It’s unclear if the Eagles want to move Brown, and what their asking price would be if they did, but the wideout is under contract for four more seasons, so Philadelphia would need a worthwhile package.

The fact that experts like Solak and reporters like Fowler are planting the seeds so early for this potential blockbuster trade makes it seem like something that is a real possibility for this offseason.
