The good news for the Buffalo Bills heading into Week 7 is that they can’t lose because they have their bye week. Right now, they need it more than ever after dropping their second consecutive game in Week 6 to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Bills need a bounce back game after losing in Week 5 to the Patriots. Instead, they left Atlanta with way more questions than answers. Injuries are piling up and the lack of production on both sides of the ball has been frustrating to watch for fans.

The offense has fallen apart a bit the last two weeks, and the defense has been atrocious since Week 1 outside of their Week 2 performance against the Jets (but that isn’t saying much). Heading into their bye week, the Bills are 4-2 but it doesn’t feel like a good 4-2.

NFL analyst is spot on about Bills' biggest issue

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports was spot on about the Bills’ biggest issue going into their bye week; no one is scared to play the Bills. Prisco specifically said “They [Buffalo] don’t scare anybody, and the Falcons played them that way.” Prisco went on to talk about how the Bills don’t take the down-the-field shots on offense and how their defense has been bad against the run.

Despite having one of the best quarterbacks in the game, the Bills’ offense doesn’t have the effective playmakers on the outside to launch it down the field. Outside of the 46-yard pass to open up the game against the Falcons, Buffalo has had a tough time stretching the ball down the field. They are playing the short game and have been running the ball a lot more than they have in recent memory.

As for the defense, they can’t seem to play good situational football and they are banged up with injuries as well. Unless they make a move for some defensive help before the trade deadline, the Bills could find themselves in another nightmare where they fall short of making the Super Bowl.
