A lot of Buffalo Bills fans are hoping that Brandon Beane makes a move to improve this roster, specifically this defense or potentially a wide receiver to boost up the passing game. Buffalo is on a two-game losing streak, sitting at 4-2 and looking up at the New England Patriots in the AFC East.
Whether they get help on defense to help stop the run, or get some help for Josh Allen, anything will hopefully go a long way. If the Bills decide to not make any moves, there is going to be a lot of criticism. Despite how the Bills have been lately, they won’t be sellers like other teams.
There is no clear-cut dominant team in the NFL this season. It’s wide open and you can make the argument for a lot of teams as to why they are the best. Even though teams like the Colts and Broncos are doing really well so far, they aren’t powerhouse teams like the Bills, Chiefs, and Ravens, all who are currently dealing with struggles or are starting to clean up their play.
Well, the Bills may have an option to look after a recent update from Adam Schefter, per Ben Baby of ESPN. It has been reported that Cincinnati Bengals' linebacker Logan Wilson has requested a trade from the team, and the Bills should immediately be picking up the phone to inquire.
Logan Wilson would bring stability to Bills' defense
According to Baby, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has reportedly “reiterated his commitment to the rookies in the middle of the defense." Baby mentioned that rookied Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter have stepped up in terms of playing time over Wilson.
Wilson currently has two years left on his deal that he has with the Bengals and it wouldn’t be a huge hit for a team to take on the contract if they trade for him. The Bills need help at linebacker due to injuries and inconsistency through their six games. Let’s not forget as well that Wilson and Josh Allen played together at Wyoming so there would be a little bit of familiarity.
Wilson has 100+ total tackles the last four consecutive seasons and currently has 41 through seven weeks. A change of scenery could benefit him and joining a Buffalo defense that could use major help makes too much sense for both sides.
