Bills fans are excited beyond belief after watching Buffalo overcome a big 21-point deficit to beat the New England Patriots and keep the race for the AFC East alive. Going into halftime, the Bills were down 24-7 and had to play near perfect football to have a shot at pulling off the upset. Well, that they did.

Buffalo scored 28 points in the second half and kept New England out of the endzone on every drive aside from one. However, that one touchdown by the Patriots where TreVeyon Henderson ran 65 yards put a little bit of fear back into Bills fans. The good news though is that Josh Allen got the ball back and he did just enough to help James Cook get into the endzone for his second touchdown.

While the second half was a wild ride that led to the Bills winning, the first half was close to a disaster for Buffalo. Up until their late first half touchdown, they couldn’t get anything going on offense and the defense was letting Drake Maye and Henderson control them.

At one point during the game, it looked like New England was well on their way to winning the division and Buffalo was just going to get through the game and move on. However, it was a totally different mindset coming out of halftime despite the huge obstacle the Bills were going to have to overcome.

Latest stat shows why Bills fans should never stop believing

According to NextGenStats, at one point in this game, the Bills’ probability to win this game was as low as 8.9%. The Patriots’ chances to win the division are still better than Buffalo’s, but it dropped to 63% while Buffalo’s chances increased up to 37%.

The offense turned it around and only didn’t score on one true drive in the second half. They took a knee to end the game, but they had scored on five straight drives. The defense only allowed New England to get back in the endzone once in the second half, and Joey Bosa came up with a big batted pass on 4th down with less than two minutes left to give the Bills back the ball and close out the game.

This is now the third time this season that the Bills have made a fantastic comeback this season. The first one was against Baltimore, then they did it last Sunday against Cincinnati, and now today.

While fans may think that the game is over at a certain point, it’s never over until all options are utilized and there is not a single chance at any sort of comeback. Buffalo is becoming a team that should be scaring their opponents once the second half kicks off.
