While the offense for the Buffalo Bills isn’t perfect, it certainly hasn’t been the reason why they haven’t reached the Super Bowl. When you have an offense that is led by Josh Allen, very rarely is that unit the main problem in the biggest moments. Heck, even with Allen’s four turnovers in last year’s Divisional Round game against the Denver Broncos, the offense still managed to score 30 points.

With the upgrade that the Bills made at wide receiver with DJ Moore and Skyler Bell, and the return of their rushing attack led by James Cook, the offense is looking to make yet another statement that they will do whatever it takes to win games.

However, their tasks won't be easy as they will be going up against some of the best off-ball linebackers that were recently voted by executives, coaches, and scouts, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Bills set to face some of the best off-ball LBs in 2026

In the rankings that Fowler put together from the executives, coaches, and scouts, there were six linebackers in the Top 10 that the Bills will face this season, which are listed below:

Roquan Smith - Baltimore Ravens (Week 8)

Jack Campbell - Detroit Lions (Week 2: Thursday Night Football)

Azeez Al-Shaair - Houston Texans (Week 1)

Jordyn Brooks - Miami Dolphins (Weeks 11 & 17)

Nick Bolton - Kansas City Chiefs (Week 12: Thanksgiving Day)

Edgerrin Cooper - Green Bay Packers (Week 14: Sunday Night Football)

All of these linebackers are some of the best in the game, but the ones that really stand out the most are Roquan Smith and Jordyn Brooks, who play nearly fantastic at their position. Smith is the leader in the middle of the Ravens defense, while Brooks has the chance to make life miserable twice a year for the Bills when Buffalo takes on the Dolphins.

In addition to these linebackers, either were honorable mentions or received votes as some of the best linebackers going into this season. Quay Walker (Las Vegas Raiders), Demario Davis (New York Jets), and T.J. Edwards (Chicago Bears) will also be going up against the Bills.

Linebacker is one of those positions that doesn’t get enough attention as it should, unless you are someone like a Fred Warner or Bobby Wagner. There are plenty of playmakers who can disrupt an offense and make life hard. Buffalo will have the unfortunate pleasure of going up against some of the league’s best throughout the entire season.
