The Buffalo Bills entered Thursday Night Football with a lot of expectations and in the first half, they completely dominated the Detroit Lions. The Bills took a commanding lead scoring on all of their offensive drives and it looked like they were picking up where they left off in Week 1 against the Houston Texans.
On Buffalo’s fourth drive, they were driving and they got into the redzone against the Lions and Josh Allen tried to find DJ Moore for the score but it went incomplete, but that wasn’t the worst of it.
As Moore was going down, he landed on his shoulder and there was a delay in the game while he was being checked.
DJ Moore injures shoulder in first half of Week 2
Moore walked off the field under his own power, but walked back to the locker room. Then as the first half was winding down, it was reported on the broadcast that he was dealing with a shoulder injury, as well as a stinger which is an extremely painful thing for anyone to deal with.
While Moore wasn't making a huge impact in this game, not having him on the field could very well put the Bills' offense in a tough spot where they could become one dimensional if he can't return.
Bills' offense could face limitations if DJ Moore's injury is serious
Throughout his career, Moore has been very durable and he doesn't miss games. He hasn't missed a game since 2020 when he was with the Carolina Panthers, which shows just how valuable he is in that aspect. However, if this injury is serious to where he could miss sometime, that means that someone else is going to have to step up on the outside.
While Dalton Kincaid has been fantastic so far through the first two games, the Bills need someone who can create separation on the outside. That's something that heavily struggled with the last two years and a big reason why the Bills made the trade with the Bears to land Moore.
Bills fans will be wondering how serious Moore's injury is, and whether or not he will miss some serious time.
