Everyone knows that Keon Coleman had a rough 2025 season for the Buffalo Bills. After his Week 1 performance in last year’s home opener against the Baltimore Ravens (8 catches, 112 yards, 1 touchdown), it all went downhill for Coleman due to him being a healthy scratch with him having maturity issues.
It got to the point where the Bills brought in guys like Mecole Hardman Jr. and Brandin Cooks to support the wide receiver room. Coleman just simply wasn't producing on the field, and him not being mature in the building didn't help either.
Once Sean McDermott was fired, there was lots of discussion on what Coleman's future would be with the Bills, and if there would be one overall. However, the Bills deciding to hire Joe Brady as their next head coach was actually one of the best things for Coleman especially considering the fact that Brady was publicly supportive of Coleman this summer.

Many people wondered whether or not Coleman would even be on the roster after training camp, but he indeed is and he helped the Bills to a big win over the Detroit Lions in Week 2 in primetime.
The Bills’ offense picked up where they left off against the Houston Texans by putting up 41 points on the Lions to win 41-31 in the first ever win at the new Highmark Stadium.
One of the biggest storylines that came up was the injury to DJ Moore, who left with a shoulder injury and missed the entire second half. However, the Bills still had Dalton Kincaid (who led the team with 95 receiving yards), and then Coleman was also in the mix of helping the Bills move the chains.
Week 2 performance from Keon Coleman could be start of turnaround for the better
In a game where the Bills lost their No. 1 receiver, Coleman was able to step up by catching all 6 of his targets for 63 yards. Both he and Dawson Knox were the only Bills to catch all of their targets that they got from Josh Allen.
Whether Moore is able to be ready for Week 3 or miss sometime, it's great to see Coleman get this kind of confidence boost that he hasn't had since the beginning of last season. With Joe Brady running the show and believing in him, it should show Bills fans that maybe, just maybe, Coleman could be an impactful player that fans have been hoping he would be.
