It’s no secret that it was a rough 2025 season for Keon Coleman. After the Buffalo Bills were hoping to see some growth on the field from his rookie season, Coleman took a step back due to lack of production and maturity issues off the field that put him as a healthy scratch for a handful of games.

On Sunday Night Football in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, Coleman had the best game of his career up to this point where he had 8 catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. Bills fans had thought that Coleman was ready to become the team’s new No. 1 receiver for Josh Allen. Unfortunately, he was the opposite.

From there on out, Coleman never reached 50 receiving yards in a game and he only went on to have three more touchdowns during the regular season. He also missed some games due to maturity concerns.

When Sean McDermott was fired by the Bills in January, a lot of people had thought that Coleman was on his way out of Buffalo, especially since no one knew who was going to be the next head coach. Now with Joe Brady leading the way, maybe this is the change that Coleman needed.

Joe Brady continues to show support for Keon Coleman going into 2026

Ever since Brady was hired by the Bills, he has been asked about Coleman and his future with the team in which Brady has said that he has big plans for Coleman in 2026. Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Brady once again showed his continued support for Coleman as he prepares for a crucial season in his career.

Per Sal Capaccio, Brady talked about Coleman, saying “I made sure when I got the job he knew he was going to be here and be part of our offense.”

Coleman does have the advantage of having Brady as his head coach now, considering that Brady was his offensive coordinator the last two seasons. There is only so much that Brady was able to do as the OC with Coleman. Now that he is the head coach and still calling plays for the offense, this is Brady’s chance to show the NFL world why the Bills drafted Coleman.

Buffalo already upgraded their wide receiver room with trading for D.J. Moore and drafting Skyler Bell. If Coleman is able to take a massive step forward and bring a new element to this offense, Buffalo might have one of the best passing attacks in the league by a mile.
