Buffalo Bills fans can only be excited at the fact that Josh Allen has been named the NFL’s most valuable player for the 2024 season. No matter what anyone thinks, Allen has put himself as the best and most valuable player this past season and no one can take that away from him or from the city of Buffalo.

The MVP race came down to the wire between Allen and Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson. Them two were the only true contenders who had the biggest chance at winning the award and in the end, Allen was able to get a little bit more than Jackson, per Rob Maaddi.

Even though Allen wasn’t voted as a First-Team All-Pro player, the voters believed that he was the more valuable player between him and Jackson. There is no doubt that Jackson is valuable to the Ravens. However, when you have a future Hall of Fame running back in the backfield and a solid defensive line that can cause pressure, it makes your job easier.

On the other hand, Allen didn’t have a true go-to guy that was a major threat to opposing defenses. Instead, he was the one putting the Bills on his back and carrying them to victories throughout the season.

Once the news broke that Allen had been named the MVP, his teammate, fullback Reggie Gilliam posted one simple picture that perfectly sums up this moment:

Fans and analysts can say whatever they want about Allen. That won’t take away from the fact that Allen is the best player in the NFL and this season showed just how valuable he is to the Bills. Without him, Buffalo does not go as far as they have. He has set both NFL and Bills franchise records through the air, on the ground, and in winning games as well.

With a disappointing ending to their playoff run, this was the kind of news that Allen, the Bills, and the fans needed. Knowing that they have the true MVP on their team and can brag about it throughout the offseason, it’s a great feeling. Up next now for Allen is to get the Bills to the Super Bowl and bring the Lombardi trophy to Western New York.
