Week 5 ended with a big-time thriller out on the West Coast between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams. A matchup between two powerhouses that went into overtime, which featured an up-and-down rollercoaster of emotions for both teams. In the end though, the Bills were the ones celebrating at the end while the Rams walked off in bitter disappointment.

It was a rough start for the Bills' offense in the first half, but then they flipt the script. Buffalo only punted once in the second half and then they scored on three straight possessions. At the same time, the Rams had the same exact setup. So, it was clearly going to come down to the wire.

While he looked rough in the first half, Josh Allen ended up putting on the Superman cape to help lead the Bills to this hard-fought win. Allen finished the first half with just over 80 total yards and an interception that set the Rams to double-dip before the second half...luckily they came up short at the end of the second half.

Then, Josh Allen became Josh Allen who we all know and love.

Josh Allen ended being biggest difference-maker in Bills' win over Rams

Allen finished the game with 331 total yards and 2 touchdowns, which included him just taking the ball himself on the final drive of the game to help set up Tyler Bass for the game-winning field goal.

The biggest difference with Allen in this compared to Week 4 against the Patriots was his rushing effect. Against New England, Allen only rushed 5 times for 4 yards. This time against the Rams, Allen rushed 10 times for 121 yards and a touchdown. He proved that he is still one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league, and in NFL history.

The Josh Allen rushing affect came alive in primetime

According to Next Gen Stats, Allen rushed for 107 yards off of scrambles which is the most by any player this season. In addition, Allen has rushed for 100+ yards on scrambles twice while the rest of the NFL has done it twice.

Bills fans know that the Bills' offense operates better when Allen gets involved in the rushing attack. Now granted, they shouldn't live by it all the time. James Cook is more than capable of leading the run-game and he managed to rush for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns. At the same time, he fumbled twice including once in overtime.

Had it not been for Greg Rousseau make the game-changing play for the Bills with a blocked field goal, who knows if the Bills would have won. However, with Allen taking over the second half and overtime, the Bills are 4-1 and bounced back in a great way from their loss against the Patriots.
