With a thrilling Monday Night Football game and the Buffalo Bills beating the Los Angeles Rams 37-34, it's not surprising that quarterback Josh Allen and the team could be up for another record going forward. Tyler Bass kicked a 45-yard field goal in overtime, giving the Bills their fourth win of the season.

Backed by a wealth of offensive weapons, the team is ready to come out and put the ball down against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium this Sunday.

Let's take a look at how Allen and the offense have a legitimate chance to rewrite history this season at this rate.

Bills have chance to break single season scoring drive percentage

While Allen has certainly earned his share of records, the game-changing quarterback and his team now have the opportunity to surpass the 2007 Patriots' with the NFL single-season record.

According to Nick Sabato of Niagara Gazette, the Bills have scored on 54.7% of their drives this season. The 2007 Patriots have the NFL single-season record (52.7%).

How Bills acheive scoring rate

Allen boasts several offensive weapons who have helped him get to this point in the season. Despite being out last week, wide receiver DJ Moore has quietly stepped up and become Allen's true number-one receiver, and has also helped elevate the other receivers. Keon Coleman has shown talent and maturity this season and has accepted his role of making plays without distractions or complaints.

Then there's Khalil Shakir, who has once again been Allen's most dependable receiver. He made a big catch on the first overtime possession in Week 5 that was almost a touchdown, but he was tripped before he could reach the end zone.

Who can forget one of the NFL's best running backs, James Cook? Last season, he won the NFL rushing title with 1,621 rushing yards, and is currently third with 532 rushing yards on 95 carries (5.6) yards per carry.

This year, when Joe Brady came up with the phrase "Put the ball down," Cook may have taken it quite literally, as he currently has four total fumbles but has lost only two of them. But he has also put the ball down by continuing to run downhill between the tackles, using his speed and acceleration to create big plays on the ground, and credit goes to their patient offensive line.

What they must do to achieve it

If the Bills want to set a new single-season record for touchdown-scoring percentage, they need to average at least 22.5 points per game over their remaining regular-season games. That would bring them to approximately 22-23 points per game.

That would total 13 to 14 wins out of 17 games, meaning they need to win 76%-82% of their remaining games and score heavily in their losses.
