Josh Allen hilariously called for a penalty mid-play against Chiefs

We saw it too!

Bills fans are the last people I need to explain this too, but the Josh Allen Experience sure is something. Anytime Allen's on the field, there's a non-zero chance that the absolute weirdest outcome isn't that far away. He just plays with a wonderfully confusing energy that can be as infuriating to watch as it is exciting, but it certainly beats being, like, the Jets.

For example: sometimes, in the middle of the play, when Allen's supposed to be reading the field and finding open wide receivers and all that, he's instead looking – and pointing out – penalties that the other team's making. It happened again on Sunday afternoon, when Allen quite literally pointed out a defensive holding on Kansas City in the middle of his drop back.

It seems like it should maybe not be the quarterback's job to call out those sort of penalties, but [extremely jaded Bills fan voice] that's life when you play the Chiefs in the playoffs. At the very least, it was a funny moment during an otherwise excruciatingly-stressful afternoon.

The Josh Allen Experience added another chapter to the lore in the AFC Championship

Lots of eagle-eyed watchers picked out the exact moment where Allen called out the hold, and thankfully the internet is extremely good at getting screenshots up in a timely manner. In fact, that might be the only thing the internet is good at. But it sure is useful sometimes!

The Josh Allen Experience: it never fails to entertain. Through the first half of the AFC Championship, we've gotten all the hallmark traits of a chaotic Allen game: there have been a few great plays, a few meme-able moments, and three throws that put the absolute fear of god into Bills fans. Outside of, you know, actually beating the Chiefs this time, what more could Bills fans ask for?
