It’s been quite a long time since the Buffalo Bills have celebrated a win at home over the New Orleans Saints. The last time these two played was in 2021, where the Saints hosted the Bills on Thanksgiving and Buffalo dominated their way to a 31-6 win.

While the Bills celebrated a big holiday win, that is when the start of the downfall of Tre’Davious White took place when he tore his ACL. White missed the rest of the season, a good majority of 2022, and then tore his achilles in 2023.

Since these teams play in different conferences, they don’t see each other a whole lot. They’ve only played against each other 12 teams in league history.

Bills have chance to accomplish goal that hasn't been done this century

With the Bills hosting the Saints today, they will have the chance to beat them for the first time in Orchard Park this century. According to Mike Catalana, the last time the Bills beat the Saints at home was back in 1983, three seasons before Jim Kelly joined the Bills.

In that matchup back in 1983, the Bills defeated the Saints, 27-21. Joe Ferguson was the quarterback under center where he threw for 173 yards and 4 touchdowns. The game wasn’t as close as the score makes it, as the Bills at one point had a 27-7 lead per Pro Football Reference.

Jim Kelly faced the Saints twice in his career, once at home and once on the road. He went 1-1, with his only win against them being on the road. Josh Allen has faced the Saints just once in his career which was back in 2021 in New Orleans. Now he has the chance to beat this winless Saints team in front of Bills Mafia.

New Orleans is in a rebuild year and the Bills are playing like the best team in football. This game could get out of hand real quickly if the Bills start off strong and don’t let up.
