Josh Allen gets completely disrespected in recent QB power rankings

Someone must have not watched the 2024 season...

Anyone who was watching th NFL season last year knows that Josh Allen was the best quarterback and he earned his first MVP award. Without him, the Buffalo Bills wouldn’t have won more than five games last season. With leading the Bills to a 13-4 record, Allen also helped the Bills become one of the best offensive units despite losing a lot of talent around the prior offseason.

Oh, and let’s not forget, Allen set multiple franchise and NFL records including being the first player to record 40+ total touchdowns in five consecutive seasons. Long story short, Allen deserves to be at the top of all quarterback lists. That’s right, even above Patrick Mahomes.

If you ask Bills Mafia, they will say the same thing. Allen is the heart and soul of the team and he is what makes the Bills the dominant championship contender that they are. He hasn’t missed a game in six seasons and he is averaging 30 passing touchdowns per season while completing over 63% of his passes. His accuracy was a big question coming out of Wyoming in 2018 but that’s clearly not a problem anymore.

Even though Allen has proved that he is the best in the league, some people (for some reason) don’t think so. Cody Benjamin from CBS Sports created a post-draft NFL QB power rankings and Benjamin barely as Allen in the top five on the list. Allen is listed at No. 5 behind Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, and…Jayden Daniels.

"The reigning MVP is coming off his most efficient season while operating with a new-look receiving group. Like Lamar Jackson, another AFC superhero, he's just yet to escape the Chiefs' shadow."

Putting Josh Allen at No. 5 on QB power rankings makes no sense

So, because of the playoff history against the Kansas City Chiefs, we’re going to put Allen at No. 5? Make this make sense.

You just simply can’t put the reigning MVP not at the top of this list. Except for maybe Burrow, Allen is the most valuable to his team. Again, without him, the Bills are nowhere near being a playoff team. It looks like Allen will once again have to prove that to doubters in 2025.
