We are less than 24 hours from kickoff in Orchard Park between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. For both teams, it’s their first divisional matchup of the season.
While the Bills are looking to keep their undefeated streak going, the Patriots are looking to repeat recent history and end Buffalo's unbeaten season in front of Bills Mafia. However, they are going to be looking to do it without two of their key defensive players in Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore.
After barely getting by the Los Angeles Chargers' defense, Josh Allen and Buffalo's offense are looking to have a clean-up game against a Patriots defense that has given him problems before. However, when it comes to Allen, nothing ever seems to be too much for him.
Josh Allen is ultimate X-factor for Bills in Week 4
Let's face it, we know that Allen is the Bills' biggest difference maker in most of their games. With the exception of last week's game, Allen is the engine that keeps the Bills running smoothly. He will be looking to work his magic once again against the Patriots, and he has the chance to make some history along the way.
According to the Buffalo Bills' PR X account, if Allen manages to rush for 2 touchdowns on Sunday, he will become the first player in NFL history to rush for two touchdowns in each of the first four games of an NFL season. In addition, he can also become the 8th player in NFL history to have a 4-game streak of 2+ rushing touchdowns during a season. He would be the first player to accomplish that since Chargers' running back LaDainian Tomlinson back in 2006.
History (once again) is on its way in Orchard Park in Week 4
Is there anything Allen can't do? It seems like every week he is making some kind of history with his arm or his legs. It doesn't matter if it's in Bills franchise history or NFL history, Allen is always going to be in a position to make or break NFL records most of the season.
I get it, he's not perfect. He does make mistakes. At the same time, it seems like for every mistake he makes, he makes up for it with a handful of great plays that help put the Bills in a scoring or winning position.
With a matchup advantage against New England's defense, who down two of their important contributors in the trenches and the secondary, Allen has the chance to bounce back from last Sunday's performance and get the Bills to 4-0 while also making some history along the way.
