Despite how we might be feeling about the Buffalo Bills going into tonight’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, one thing for sure is that they are getting their investment back from defensive end Joey Bosa. When Buffalo signed Bosa to a one-year prove it deal, the Bills were looking to get the version of Bosa that was a game wrecker early on in his career.

Through the first five games of the season, the Bills’ defense has been near-atrocious, but Bosa hasn’t. Unlike in LA, Bosa is being used in more of a true defensive end role and the Bills use a heavy rotation, which helps keep Bosa as healthy as possible.

The Bills took on the risk of Bosa’s injury history, which played a major role in the Chargers releasing him. So far, up to this point, it’s working out for both sides.

Joey Bosa can keep proving Bills right in Week 6 vs. Falcons

According to the Buffalo Bills’ PR X account, Bosa can tie a Bills franchise record for most forced fumbles in a season. The record currently stands at five, and Bosa has four.

Bosa has forced fumbles against the Ravens, Jets, and Saints. It creates chaos and helps the Bills get the ball back. The fact that he can tie this record six games into the season, before Buffalo’s bye week is unbelievable.

Even though Bosa is having a solid season, it’s not enough to help this Buffalo defense become one of the better units in the league. Buffalo has had a tough time stopping the run, and now they are facing a good amount of injuries with Matt Milano, T.J. Sanders, and Damar Hamlin, where both Hamlin and Sanders are set to get to the IR

The Falcons have an up-and-down offense and with the limited mobility of Michael Penix Jr., this is a chance for Bosa to not only force a turnover or two, but to also give the ball back to Josh Allen to light up the scoreboard.
