Through the first month of the NFL season, the Buffalo Bills have proved the doubters wrong about the addition of Joey Bosa back in free agency. After releasing Von Miller, the Bills didn’t wait too much longer to agree to terms with Bosa on a one-year deal. The fact that Bosa, who was released by the Chargers, opted to move across the country on a one-year deal speaks about the culture that Buffalo has.

The Bills needed a veteran pass rusher who could be the difference maker. Despite the Bills’ defense being nearly atrocious through four games, Bosa has lived up to expectations and is showing the version that he was early on in his career.

He has by far been their best pass rusher as he is always getting some sort of pressure, whether it’s against the pass or the run. However, there is a stat that is truly standing out about the impact Bosa has made with the Bills. Bosa forced yet another fumble, making it four on the season which leads the NFL. He also managed to sack Spencer Rattler as well, giving him two sacks on the season.

Joey Bosa investment is paying for Bills through first month of season

It’s still early, but the first four games of the season have shown us what having a healthy Joey Bosa is like. First, he’s back as a true edge rusher rather than an outside linebacker. Second, the Bills have a solid rotation to where Bosa doesn’t need to be out there on all three downs.

He’s able to get a quick rest and then get back in the game to make a play. There are plenty of times where Bosa is near the ball and he has an act for punching the ball out.

As we approach the second month of the season, Bosa’s presence will be crucial to have, especially now that Buffalo is just one of the two remaining undefeated teams along with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, it’s just too bad that Bosa is part of an overall defense that has been extremely disappointing up to this point.
