The Buffalo Bills are heading into a tough first year under Joe Brady in the 2026 season. With them already being one of the top contenders in the league, they are always destined to have a tough schedule that features a good amount of primetime games. This season, the Bills open up their schedule with a tough stretch right from the start.
Getting a tough start is never easy, but it’s better than having consistent tough games in the middle and end of the regular season. Two of their biggest game land on Thanksgiving and Christmas, with one being at home and on the road, so it's an even balance.
Even though the Bills do have a tough schedule, they are built for these kinds of setups while some teams are walking into a heavy mismatch where they could be embarrassed in front of the entire NFL world.
Bills see Dolphins' schedule stretch and can only laugh at them
Eric Edholm from NFL.com recently listed the Dolphins as a loser from the NFL schedule release for various reasons like that they don’t have a home game early in the season against a true-cold weather team, they are going to Buffalo, Green Bay, and Denver from Weeks 11-15, and all six of their final opponents all made the playoffs last season.
"Otherwise, no true cold-weather team has to endure the early-season Miami heat. On the flip side, the Dolphins must take late-season road trips to Buffalo in Week 11, Denver in Week 13 and Green Bay in Week 15. The Dolphins' final six games come against 2025 playoff teams. They might be in the running for the No. 1 pick in the draft by that point. There's just no letup in this year's schedule." said Edholm.
It wouldn’t surprise any NFL fan to see the Dolphins be in the conversation for having the #1 overall pick in 2027. There are teams that show that they are rebuilding a little bit, but the Dolphins cleared house on the roster and are starting fresh with a new regime.
They are in the business of having to build up the program from the bottom and it certainly won’t be an easy task. Dolphins fans are heading into the 2026 season where even though the payoff later could help, seeing the Dolphins having a rough schedule to where they could lose a lot of games won’t be easy at all.
All that Bills fans can do is laugh knowing that while Buffalo is still going to be a contender, the Dolphins are pretty much playing for 2027 and beyond.
