Kickoff from Orchard Park will take place at 1PM today where the Buffalo Bills will take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Coming in at 2-0, the Bills had extra rest and preparation for this game while the Chargers are coming off two bad losses (both at home) and had to travel cross country to take on a tough Bills team. The biggest storyline around the Bills is their offense and how they have been thriving through two games.
Josh Allen and that unit have been scoring big, and he has played like the best player in the entire league. Today will be another opportunity to keep up his MVP play. However, he isn't the only one that is playing extremely well.
Greg Rousseau has emerged as Bills' defensive biggest star
While Buffalo's defense is still going through some growing pains under Jim Leonhard as a unit, Greg Rousseau has come out of nowhere and become a star early on this season. Granted, Rousseau had always been a solid player in terms of stopping the run, but his pass rush wasn't as dominate as it has been the last two games.
Him being moved to OLB has paid off big time as comes into today's game as the league's sack leader (4) as well as having the most forced fumbles (3). Even though Deone Walker is Buffalo's next biggest rising star, Rousseau is finally part of a defensive scheme that he fits perfectly in that could help him become an All-Pro player.
According to the Buffalo Bills' PR team, if Rousseau manages to record just one sack, he will tie Bills legend Bruce Smith for the most team sacks in franchise history through three games. Smith accomplished this twice in 1992 and 1996. In addition, if he manages to record 2+ sacks once again, he will become the third player in NFL history to have three consecutive multi-sack games to begin a season. The other two players to accomplish this were Mark Gastineau in 1984, and Kevin Greene in 1998.
Bills Mafia are in for another big performance from Greg Rousseau
Rousseau has recorded two sacks in each of the Bills' last two games, putting him on a path to have a career year by a mile.
Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert has already been sacked six times (three in each of the last two games). The interior part of the offensive line has been playing horrendous, and the tackles are coming off bad games against the Raiders.
Rousseau and company are in line to continue to make the Chargers' offense miserable more than they already have been.
