After the MVP talks for Josh Allen were put on hold in Weeks 4 & 5, they are starting to come back into conversation the last two weeks. After defeating a tough New York Jets team last Monday night, Buffalo followed up that performance with a dominant 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans.

It’s important to note that the Bills did get off to a very slow start in the first half. They were down 10-0 at one point and had it not been for a James Cook rushing touchdown, they would have been shut out in the first half. However, something drastically changed for the better for Buffalo because that Cook touchdown was the first of their 34 unanswered points scored.

Josh Allen was a major factor in that turnaround. After starting off 4/11, the Bills star quarterback did a complete 180 degree flip by completing 64% of his passes for 323 yards and 2 touchdowns. One of those scores went to the newest member of the Bills in Amari Cooper.

Allen looked phenomenal with a QB rating of 116.1. He continues to be the only quarterback that hasn’t thrown an interception, and he now has 15 total touchdowns through seven games.

Bills Mafia loves nothing more than seeing their quarterback have a fantastic game, especially when it leads to a blowout win. Going up against one of the best defensive units in the league, Allen made Tennessee look like fools in the second half once adjustments were made.

It hasn’t been a super spectacular year for Allen, but he has looked solid throughout the season. The no turnover aspect is something that is not talked about a lot, especially when you consider how much criticism he got this past offseason for being labeled as a “turnover machine”.

While this was a solid win for Buffalo and Allen, they have a tough task ahead of them going into next week when they will fly all the way out west to take on Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks.
