There are a great number of people who seem to be doubting the Buffalo Bills going into Sunday’s Wild Card matchup against Jacksonville. Maybe it’s because the Bills are the road team. Maybe it’s because of the type of football that the Jaguars have played all season long. Either way, the Bills are going to have the chance to prove a lot of doubters wrong.

One of those doubters is former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Phil Simms, who talked with Kay Adams on Up & Adams, discussing this upcoming matchup down in Duval County.

Simms said that “if Buffalo can get by this team, this might be the hardest test they could have in the playoffs.” Simms then described Jacksonville as “big, powerful, tough, hard-coached” and that they are “going up against a team [Buffalo] that really relies on speed.” Simms would eventually pick the Jaguars to win this game.

I’m not saying that Jacksonville isn’t a solid team. In the first year of the Liam Coen era, they sure have exceeded expectations. Their offense can be dynamic and the defense plays great situational football in terms of takeaways.

At the same time, this Jaguars team is limited in playoff experience and the Bills have the most playoff experience in recent memory within the AFC. Let’s not forget, Jacksonville is going up against a player in Josh Allen who is nearly unstoppable in the playoffs. He has 32 total touchdowns to just 4 interceptions in 13 playoff games.

The biggest knock on the Bills is whether or not the rest of the team can step up and make plays for Buffalo. However, let’s not forget that the Bills have impactful players like James Cook, Joey Bosa, and a rookie defensive tackle in Deone Walker who will have the chance to shine in a huge playoff game.

This is going to be an exciting matchup that all NFL fans should tune into. It’s a new and fun Jacksonville teaming hosting Josh Allen who we all know can take over a game at any moment. The Bills will have a prime opportunity to make any doubters silent.
