On Wednesday early evening, Adam Schefter reported that the Buffalo Bills had agreed to terms with wide receiver Elijah Moore on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million. The Bills are bringing Moore into an offense where he can truly thrive with Josh Allen throwing him the ball.
Moore was drafted in the second round in 2021 by the New York Jets, where he only spent two seasons there before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2023 after Moore expressed frustration due to lack of involvement in the offense. In two years with Cleveland, he had some of his best production despite the Browns having even more instability at quarterback than the Jets.
He’s had over 100 targets in each of the last two seasons and set career-highs in receptions and yards. Moore is now joining an offense in Buffalo where they are pass-first offense with the best quarterback in the league under center.
Elijah Moore is fired up to meet Bills Mafia
Shortly after Schefter confirmed that Moore was signing with the Bills, Moore expressed his excitement about meeting Bills Mafia and “being back in that red and blue”, which are the same colors as Ole Miss.
Back in that red and blue 😍🫡Time to go be GREAT. Grateful for the opportunity! Cant wait to meet BILLS MAFIA ❤️💙

It’s always exciting when a player shows enthusiasm about joining a team and even trying to connect with the fanbase. Bills Mafia is one of, if not the most passionate fanbases in the NFL. They go to the games whether it’s sunny or if there is a winter storm, weather it’s clear skies or rainy, and they go to the games because they know that the Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL and have been this entire decade.
While Moore isn’t a for-sure lock for this roster (seeing as how his deal is worth up to $5 million), he brings speed and that’s something that the Bills were lacking. Joe Brady can utilize Moore to help take the top off the defense and open up the middle of the field. Not to mention, Moore just might have himself a big career year due to the fact of the quarterback.
