Every NFL fan knows that when it comes to the NFL Draft, it’s treated like an unofficial holiday. It’s a major step forward towards the upcoming season, and teams add young talent that will provide both immediate and long-term help. The Buffalo Bills have a big draft coming up as it’s a bit of a new era at One Bills Drive.
While Brandon Beane is still running the show in the front office, Joe Brady is the new head coach and there is a brand new coaching staff underneath him. When there is a major shakeup within the organization, there tends to be a ton of different moves that come with it.
However, there is still a bit of continuity because Brady has been with the Bills since 2022 and he’s been the offensive coordinator since the middle of 2023.
While fans have seen a good amount of changes within the Bills, the overall goal of winning a Super Bowl never changes. In less than three weeks, the NFL Draft will kick off in Pittsburgh and there are many scenarios that could happen with the Bills, both good and bad.
Listed dream scenario has Bills fans excited with joy
Alex Ballentine from Bleacher Report created a list of every NFL team’s dream scenario in the first round , and when it comes to the Bills, the scenario involves their potential choices to draft a wide receiver and the Patriots missing out on a top edge rusher prospect.
"A mid-round run on edge-rushers leaves few options for the Patriots at the end of the first round. It also leaves the Bills their choice of wide receivers not named Jordyn Tyson and Carnell Tate. The arms race for the division is on." said Ballentine.
While the Bills may need to address the defense early on, especially in the trenches, they still need to add to their receiver room despite trading for D.J. Moore. Just like how Ballentine mentioned, getting a player like Tyson or Tate is very unlikely for the Bills. However, they would still have a great amount of options at receiver, especially someone like KC Concepcion.
As for the rush on edge rushers and how it could affect Buffalo’s biggest division rival in the Patriots, fans know that New England needs a pass rush. With them being at No. 31 in the first round right now, they may see a ton of help that they want go off the board before it’s their turn.
If the Bills are able to grab the wide receiver help that they need, and see the Patriots lose out on great edge rush help, fans would have the chance to laugh at New England.
