We have an AFC East battle this Sunday between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. These two teams met back in Week 3 where the Bills came away with a 31-21 win in Orchard Park. Now they will meet in Hard Rock Stadium down in Miami.
Since 2018, the Bills have only lost to the Dolphins with both times being down in south beach (2018, 2022). In those losses, the Bills have lost by a combined 6 points. In the wins that Buffalo has against the Dolphins in Miami, they have won by 83 points.
The Dolphins are heading towards a bit of a rebuild with their recent moves so they don’t have a ton to play for. As for the Bills, there is more pressure on them to win. This should very well be a game where Buffalo handles Miami with no issue. However, that’s not always the case.
Heading into this week, we had the chance to talk with Phin Phanatic Site Expert, Brian Miller, and Miller was able to provide some insights about the Dolphins going into Sunday's matchup.
Bills vs. Dolphins Week 10 insights
1.) Miami is at a very rough stage within the franchise, especially with the moves that they made this past week. Besides looking to get a win, what does success look like for the Dolphins this week against the Bills?
"I’m not sure many fans are optimistic about getting a victory. I think playing respectable football is about all they can hope for. Fans were hoping for a trade deadline statement that they were ready for a rebuild, but instead, they are now seeing another possible season like this one in 2026. The Bills are far more motivated to play at a high level given the resurgence of the Patriots. Miami is hoping to get through the season."
2.) Who on the Dolphins should Bills fans not be ignoring and why?
"At this point there isn’t a singular player that will give the Bills a fit. They have seen Miami’s best. That is De’Von Achane or Jaylen Waddle at times. Defensively there isn’t anyone that is standing out enough to game plan around. With Jaelan Phillips now gone and Chop Robinson in the concussion protocol, Josh Allen shouldn’t face nearly as much pressure from the Dolphins and that will expose their secondary."
3.) Josh Allen typically has his best performances against the Dolphins. What players have to take a big step forward in production on defense to contain Allen?
"The best defensive player right now may be former Bills’ corner Rasul Douglas. As mentioned previously, they are now thin off the edge, have a defensive front that has been largely hit or miss (mostly miss) this season, and a deep secondary that is being carried by Minkah Fitzpatrick, how honestly looks like he could not care less to be here. If Allen doesn’t have one of his biggest career games this week I will be surprised, the same could be said about James Cook as well. What will be interesting is whether or not the Dolphins players have checked out or not."
